Best Tips To Get Both Search Engine And Non-search engine Visitors

You are done selecting your market or niche and you had purchased the right domain for your site. Now you are ready for your first blog post.
Google said that content is king, but in reality quality content alone cannot bring visitors. Competition for Google search engine users are high, and Google ranks those websites and blogs with high authority that have been live for more than 2 years.
The following are experiential advised to ensure quality content both from human reader and search engines. This is what we called the art of writing for human and for machine.
1. Choose a topic that has considerable search volume and create contents out of it. You can use Google external keyword tool to find the most popular keywords or topics. Here are the things you can do using the tool:
a. Type a general topic or certain areas related to your topic. Let’s say we are looking for the right term for telesales tips. Do not just search right away with this topic and use the general term telesales.
b. Select advance option to view the geographical location of searcher.
c. Select “ideas containing my search term” to discover semantically related keywords. You can arrange the result from highest to lowest by clicking global search volume.
d. Now if you find specific keyword like “telesales tips”, research this keyword again to get more specific semantically related keywords.
e. You should be able to see the related keywords or key phrase such as telesales training, telesales technique, telesales skills and calls.
Doing this will give you 3 advantages:
i. You have semantically related keyword for your blog post, as well as know how to avoid keyword stuffing and improve keyword density.
ii. Possible topic for a future post.
iii. Once the next article is done you can now create internal linking.
2. Add image or video to your post. Image complements your content. The image can also help encourage the reader to read the content.
You can get a video from YouTube. This video serves as bonus to your reader. Make sure the video as well as the image are related to your post. These two elements can help minimize bounce rate. Bounce rate is also used by Google to determine the quality of your site. You can find many resources to reduce bounce rate. Quality and unique content is the way to go.
3. Make sure that your content is crawled by Google, Yahoo and Bing. Now you have your post. It’s time for you to give incoming link to your post. Never leave your new blog post or new website without external of incoming link. Newly established website or blog took longer time to be crawled so you need help from high authority social bookmarking sites.
a. Sign up to top 10 social bookmarking sites and add or submit your blog post. Use only one username and password to remember them easily. Submit your blog post URL and use the title of your blog as the title in these top social bookmarking sites. Make sure the description is different from each other.
b. Suggested top friendly bookmarking sites are stumbleupon, yahoo buzz, digg.com, jamespot, mix, delicious, folkd, pimpthisblog, facebook and clipmark.
4. Get traffics after 1 week to 1 month.
a. Once the blog post is live and crawled, it will be included in Google search engine index. However, it will not stay on the top as new blog post related to your topic will remove you from the blog search engine results.
b. Now give your blog post a minimum of 5 to 10 do follow incoming links by submitting the post to these do follow social bookmarking sites. The site www.bmbuzz.com has a good collection of social bookmarking sites. It is recommended that you find an online article that discusses steps and tips in social bookmarking.
c. The blog post will not rank after 24 hours or the next day. It will not go on Google 1st or 2nd page within one week. However, as you have created external links and as the blog post get’s older, it will gain its own authority.
5. Get referral traffics. The top 10 social bookmarking sites could give you both an opportunity to be crawled faster and get traffic referrals. However, the best traffic referrals are those in your community or group. Here are some tips to do it:
a. Create your own followers. Visit top blogger with good twitter followers and try to invite them to follow your twitter. The quality of your message or tweet is one best way to get followers.
b. Design or create a Fan page for your blog and invite your online friends to LIKE your Fan page. You can also visit the Facebook of well-known bloggers, who are also talking about the same niche that you have. Befriend their followers, send them quality information that are useful to them and then invite them to your fan page.
6. Capture new visitors’ emails through freebies. In a research about best sources of traffic, the pay per clicks is the best, followed by email marketing, guest posting, and then search engine optimization.
In my own test, even if my keyword is number 1, I can get only 2% of the total search volume. Referral links from guest post can bring more traffic than your rank in Google search engine. However, search engine visitors are more profitable than guest post visitors. To make sure your new visitors will become regular visitors follow the following steps:
a. Research and write white paper in the form of downloadable eBook.
b. Create yet professional sign up form using wordpress plug in, free contact us from awebber form.
c. Once you’ve captured their emails you can send them interested information that they may want to know. This time you are just recommending good stuffs to your visitors.
7. Link wheel your post. Since the beginning of your first post, you’ve already included other possible topics that you can discuss in the future. If you decide to make new blog post about these topics, make sure that you create link from the old post. These processes have various benefits such as:
a. Purposely increasing number of links to your posts will improve its search engine keyword ranking. If you visit your webmaster tools, you will notice that Google regularly collects your internal links. You can control the quantity by creating links around your blog post as long as there are related topics.
b. Link wheeling your topics will improve your visitor page view, visitors reading time as well as reduce bounce rate.
c. Well link wheel posts will give your visitors complete or satisfactory information about your site. 2 thumbs up customer behavior will guarantee your site to be bookmarked by your visitors.
A regular blog update of about 3 topics a week would be enough. It will provide you with 12 page a month. These 12 pages will have 5 incoming links each post or a total 60 links a month. By the end of three months you will have 180 links. So when Google update the page rank you will have higher website authority as well as regular visitors from your followers and emails list. You will now enjoy both search engine and non-search engine traffic.

HP Slate: The Business Notebook Without A Keyboard

HP has at last revealed its long-awaited Slate,  an 8.9-inch tablet with capacitive  multi-touch and running Windows 7.
The Slate, was proudly touted by Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer as an iPad killer,  back  before the iPad even existed.
So is this an iPad competitor? frankly speaking, no way!
The HP Slate 500 Tablet PC is just that, a PC. It runs on a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540  processor, has 2GB RAM and a 64GB SSD, along with a Broadcom accelerator for 1080p  video, a USB port, HDMI-out, a hardware Ctrl-Alt-Delete switch, a button to activate  the on-screen keyboard and a pair of cameras, one on the back for photos and one on  the front for Skyping.
It also has, somewhat unbelievably, a slide-out Windows license.
That’s right. Apparently any machine with Windows pre-installed needs to show the  license info and HP, in order to keep the rear design clean, opted to add a  slide-out plastic bar to display it.
Oh, it is also Wi-Fi only: There’s no 3G radio.
There is one nice touch: the screen includes a Wacom digitizer so you can use a  stylus to take notes on screen. There is nowhere to store the stylus, though, so  you’ll lose it soon enough.
Clearly, the Slate is to full-featured tablet PCs as a netbook is to a proper  notebook: a scaled back, underpowered portable with a too-small screen, running an  OS designed for the desktop, not a touch-operated device.
HP has tried to justify the ridiculous price with a disclaimer in its press release,  which says it is “designed specifically for business.” The problem is, businesses  are already buying the iPad, which is designed just to be good.
We’re certainly looking forward to seeing some proper rivals to the iPad, with  ten-inch screens running an OS designed for touch. The HP Slate, a netbook with the  keyboard missing, ain’t it.

Opera sings its way onto Symbian

WEB BROWSER OUTFIT Opera has made its way onto the Symbian operating system.
According to the company, Opera Mini 5.1 beta has been built specifically for Symbian.
The mobile browser will offer improved fonts, significantly faster start-up time and improved page load performance.
The outfit said that with Symbian being the most popular mobile phone OS it makes sense that its software should run on it.
The native version of Opera Mini for Symbian includes things like Speed Dial for the users' favourite websites, tabbed browsing and an attractive user interface."
Despite doing well on other mobile operating systems, Opera has kept away from the Symbian OS. The only thing that it has managed to get to run was a restricted Java version, and the outfit hopes that a native version will run better.
Christen Krogh, chief development officer for Opera Software said that "porting Opera Mini to the Symbian programming language provides the largest user base in the smartphone world with the best mobile browsing experience."
The free web browser is available for download at Opera's website. ยต

Indonesia tsunami death toll nears 350

The death toll from a tsunami that pummelled remote Indonesian islands soared to 343 on Thursday as questions mounted over whether an elaborate warning system had failed.
Fears were growing for hundreds still missing after a huge wave triggered by a powerful earthquake Monday hit the Mentawais off the west coast of Sumatra.
Hundreds of kilometres (miles) away, a mass funeral was held for some of the 32 people killed when the nation's most active volcano erupted on Tuesday.
Disaster response officials said bodies were being found on beaches and coastal areas in the Mentawai island chain, which took the full force of the tsunami as it washed away entire villages.
"Ten minutes after the quake we heard a sound just like an explosion from outside -- it was then we realised there was a tsunami," said 20-year-old housewife Chandra on North Pagai, one of the two worst-hit islands.
Dazed and exhausted, she was searching for her six-month-old baby boy, who has not been seen since the disaster. Her husband's body had been found by neighbours in their village of Muntei Baru Baru.
"I know he's dead but I keep praying he's still alive. I'm so tired. I've not eaten for two days... I have no appetite," she told AFP.
As President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono visited the disaster zone, local disaster management official Ferry Faisal said "343 people were killed and 338 are still missing".
A ship bearing aid including food, water, medical supplies as well as body bags arrived Thursday at Sikakap, on North Pagai island, one of the two worst-hit islands in the Mentawai group.
An AFP photographer on board saw hundreds of villagers being treated at a medical clinic, many requiring stitches to open cuts suffered as they were tossed around in the surging sea.
Survivors said they had almost no warning that the three-metre (10-foot) wall of water was bearing down on them, despite the laying of a sophisticated network of alarm buoys off the Sumatran coast.
The expensive warning system was instituted after the 2004 Asian tsunami, which killed at least 168,000 people in Indonesia alone.
An official tsunami warning was issued after Monday's 7.7-magnitude quake but it either came too late or did not reach the communities in most danger.
Medical personnel were arriving on helicopters but boats bearing aid have been hampered by bad weather around the islands, which are about half a day's journey away from the port of Padang on Sumatra.
Troops and at least five warships have been dispatched to the area, which Yudhoyono reached on Thursday afternoon after leaving early from a summit of Southeast Asian leaders in Hanoi.
The United States and several of Indonesia's neighbours have pledged help for a nation that often finds itself battling calamity.
Indonesia initially said it did need foreign assistance, but Australia announced Thursday that Jakarta had accepted a million US dollars in aid for victims of both disasters.
On the central island of Java, rescuers have pulled the bodies of at least 32 people from tombs of fine grey ash after Mount Merapi erupted on Tuesday, including the elderly spiritual gatekeeper of the "Mountain of Fire".
More than 20 of the victims were buried in a mass grave at a ceremony Thursday in Sidorejo village, south of the volcano.
Others were laid to rest in private ceremonies, including an elder known as Grandfather Marijan, the royal guardian of the volcano, whose body was lowered into a grave to the sound of chanted Islamic prayers.
The 83-year-old appointee of the sultan of Yogyakarta ignored orders to leave and died as he prayed at his home on the slopes of the volcano, a place of sacred significance in Javanese tradition.
"He was like a boat captain who would never surrender although he must pay with his life," mourner Ani Wijayanti, 47, said.
Government volcanologists said the mountain had been relatively quiet since the eruptions, and officials said more than 50,000 people had fled to cramped temporary shelters around the nearby city of Yogyakarta.
The slopes of the mountain were an eerie wasteland on Thursday, with houses burnt and flattened, trees scorched and stripped of leaves and the stench of rotting bodies filling the air, according to an AFP reporter at the scene.

High-speed Internet for rural areas pegged at $7-billion

The price tag for closing the digital divide between urban and rural Canadians is about $7-billion, says Winnipeg-based telecom provider MTS Allstream Inc.
That’s what it would cost – $700-million per year, for 10 years – to roll out high-speed Internet to the country’s most remote areas. It’s a task that can never be achieved by market forces alone, the company told the CRTC, in one of the first such estimates to be made for Canada.

The estimate came in a presentation on Wednesday before the Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission in Timmins, Ont., as the federal regulator investigates how to close the digital gap between urban and rural areas.
“Ultimately, the cost will be borne by consumers and businesses,” said MTS president Kelvin Shepherd.
Governments in countries such as Australia and the United States have already pledged tens of billions of dollars to expand Internet access, and have set ambitious targets for connection speeds. Some Scandinavian countries have mandated ultrafast access to the Internet as an essential right. In Canada, the government has allocated about $225-million in grants to finance Internet access across the entire country.
MTS said that its estimates are calculations based on publicly filed documents, from itself and several of its competitors, but that they are preliminary because of the rapid changes in technology and the expansion of other services, such as wireless and satellite. (The latter two have deeper reach into remote areas, but are often unreliable or lack the capacity to download large files or to stream video.)
Michael Hennessy, Telus Corp.’s senior vice-president for regulatory and government affairs, said the MTS estimates are probably accurate, but said the cost is simply too expensive and other technologies will close the gap.
Companies appearing before the hearing on Tuesday argued against mandating an “obligation to serve” remote areas with broadband. They said that wireless and satellite technologies are improving and extending into remote and that the market will eventually solve the problem.
Barrett Xplore Inc. and Bell Aliant Regional Communications Income Fund, both of which concentrate on rural areas, argued that CRTC intervention would distort the market and discourage investment by throwing uncertainty into the business case.
“It's really a question of policy,” said Teresa Griffin-Muir, vice-president of regulatory affairs at MTS, noting that in other countries, high-speed networks are “viewed as critical infrastructure.”
One of the central questions is whether policy makers should focus on digital literacy, rather than mandating a certain level of service. Currently, Internet is available to about 95 per cent of Canadian households, but many do not subscribe.
CRTC vice-chairman of telecommunications Len Katz questioned whether spending $7-billion to provide 100-per-cent broadband penetration would be a good use of money, given that many Canadians still don’t sign up for the service.
